LOVE

Some sculptures mark the end of a journey. Others mark the beginning.

Love was my first sculpture in porcelain and my first experience working with glazes. At the time, I believed that the glossy surface was the natural way to finish ceramic. As I watched the piece come to life, I realized something unexpected: although I admired the beauty of glaze, it did not belong to the language I was searching for.

That discovery became as important as the sculpture itself.

The piece speaks about love in all its contradictions—the tenderness that allows us to grow and the pain that inevitably accompanies vulnerability. Love asks us to surrender without guarantees. It can build us, transform us, and sometimes leave us broken, yet we continue to seek it because it is part of what makes us human.

Looking back, Love represents more than the subject it portrays. It reminds me of the moment I understood that finding an artistic voice is not only about discovering what feels right, but also about recognizing what does not.

Every artist carries a few works that quietly change the course of their journey.

For me, Love was one of them.

"Love is all there is,
it makes the world go round
Love and only love, it can't be denied
No matter what you think about it
You just won't be able to do without it"
